The vision
Jackson-Ross London Limited “Jackson-Ross” is an Appointed Representative (“AR”) of Independent Broking Solutions Limited (“IBS”) a Financial Conduct Authority approved and Lloyd’s authorized Broker.
Jackson-Ross acts as a Wholesale Broker and Coverholder Provider serving selected Regional US Producers. The firm hosts, either temporarily or permanently, individual or corporate broker businesses that do not produce business of sufficient scale to justify being an Appointed Representative or Coverholder in their own right.
The model Jackson-Ross offers is to either individuals or entities who wish to operate as MGU’s/Coverholders or desire to place in London risks that are outside the scope of their delegated authority. It also offers services to US based brokers who need to build a premium base in order to become owners and operators of their own Appointed Representative.
The proposition ..
for interested business partners the proposition is that they will share the London brokerage with Jackson-Ross which, in turn, will provide the supervised framework, accounting, compliance, governance, professional indemnity and a vehicle to allow the individuals or entities access to the Lloyd’s, London, EU and Bermuda markets. IBS will provide the processing support from slip preparation, technical processes/support, client money transactions, claims and the various market facilities such as Xchanging, LORS, Atlas and the like including all matters of compliance. Every risk will be assessed on a case by case basis.
The arrangement is a rolling contract between the individual or entity and Jackson-Ross with a 90-day cancellation clause. The contract mirrors the one which Jackson-Ross maintains with its Principal, IBS, and includes a commitment of adherence to all regulatory and Lloyd’s requirements by the individual or entity.
